During November each year, Movember is responsible for the sprouting of moustaches on thousands of men’s faces in the UK and around the world. The aim of which is to raise vital funds and awareness for men’s health, specifically prostate cancer and other cancers that affect men. Mindstorm got took part in the effort of raising awareness and funds for this great cause.

This year, Mindstorm once again delivered the technology that helped the UK’s X Factor judges to choose the candidates in the X Factor show that broadcast on Saturday, September 24th, 2011 on ITV1.

The Lido Club, a fashionable nightclub within Holland Casino’s flagship venue in central Amsterdam, is as cool as they come. At the flick of a button, lights, ceiling, videos and aroma instantly change the “mood” of the nightclub.

Mindstorm interactive surfaces now feature on two Disney Cruise Ships.  Several Aurora tables with multi-user games were installed on the Disney Dream, the third ship in the Disney Cruise Line fleet, to keep kids entertained and engaged.  They were so happy, they installed several more on the Disney Fantasy, the latest addition to their fleet.

In a Surface Computing report published recently, Gartner Group names Mindstorm a "Cool Vendor", one of only four companies in the world to receive this accolade. While still in its infancy, Gartner Group recognize the potential and growth in Surface Computing touch screens and recommend that consumer facing organisations consider using Multi-Touch surfaces to strengthen their brands. The Sheraton Hotel Bratislava wanted an outstandingly fresh experience for their customers and was looking for that special atmosphere at the bar. They wanted to wow customers when they entered for the first time. It was important to the client to cover the entire 15 metres of serving space at the bar and create an ambience of light and colour, all as part of an interactive experience.

Mindstorm took part in this year’s X Factor marking the first time multi touch interactive surfaces have taken prime place on a widely popular TV show. The X Factor found Mindstorm due to our involvement with ITV in the past in shows such as The Krypton Factor.

MIA Biscayne nightclub, Miami came to Mindstorm to enhance it's wow factor. Working closely with Mindstorm, the club introduced both iBar® and Eclipse® Technology.  MIA mindstormed its venue to give its customers a unique experience with stunning bar effects and a curved interactive wall.

This year onedotzero is working with multi-touch companies so touch and Mindstorm to create a special multi-touch screen installation for the 2009 festival. This will hold all the festival's programme details and will be searchable, allowing visitors to find out more about the festival. Located in BFI Southbank's foyer, it offers a new, interactive way to explore the festival programme. Click here to see a video of the table in action at the festival.

Mindstorm recently featured in the May '09 edition of Night Magazine, one of the UK's premier publications for the nightclub and hospitality industry. The attached thought-leadership article, entitled "One to Watch: Interactive Technology's Journey from Home to Hospitality", showcases the iBar® installation at the Rutland Hotel in Edinburgh.

Mindstorm and Panasonic will be working together in a range of commercial areas. Details of the partnership will be announced in a forthcoming press release.

Mindstorm is once again at the Geneva Motor Show. This time we are deploying our iBar® technology for Nissan using software similar to that being used in the Meribel and Verbier ski resorts.

Mindstorm teamed up with Cognito, a full service communications agency working exclusively for finance and finance technology companies, to host the the first ever event in the UK dedicated to interactive multi-touch surfaces. The event, entitled "The Future of Financial Services Communication", focused on how interactive surfaces can contribute to the changing of the landscape of financial communications.

Mindstorm's value-added reseller in South Africa, Media Republic, has deployed interactive surface solutions as a part of a product launch campaign for Nokia. This is the third of a series of projects done for Nokia by Mindstorm partners all over Europe.

Mindstorm worked with Google and YouTube to present a multi-touch version of Google Earth on the YouTube stand at Davos.

It was an unique opportunity to showcase interactive surface technology to senior executives and world leaders. Amongst the people who had a go were Google co-founder Larry Page, Sir Martin Sorrel from WPP, Kofi Annan and many others.

Mindstorm worked with ITV to deploy multi-touch features for the first time on UK prime time television.

Game show The Krypton Factor was recently re-launched and the producers came to Mindstorm for help creating some unique games that would take advantage of multi-touch interactive surfaces. A range of games were created and the feedback was outstanding.

If you go to either Meribel or Verbier, the exclusive ski resorts in France and Switzerland, you will have an opportunity to experience a new type of brand activation and consumer engagement. As a part of an overall campaign Nissan decided to place iBars® permanently within bars in the two resorts.

Finnish mobile manufacturer Nokia decided to go for the iBar® interactive surface for their JadesPhone.com campaign in France. They deployed a customised effect that allowed the users to explore the new products and transfer images and video wirelessly to their Bluetooth-enabled devices.

According to Nokia representatives, the use of the iBar® for Nokia's stand was a great success and provided them with an exciting and new way of interacting with their customers.

To our delight, the Mindstorm iBar® and iWall™ installation at high-end nightclub '24 London' in Kingly Street has been featured in the book 'Extreme Bars' by Tectum Publishers. The book features 43 extraordinary  bars, and you will find an article about 24 London as well as images from the installation - both in the article and scattered throughout the book.
