Mindstorm on The X Factor

In 2011, Mindstorm once again delivered the interactive touch screen used on the UK’s hit TV show The X Factor. The show's judges used the iWall to pick each category's contestants, selecting those who would make it through the first round of boot camp.

The 2.2m iWall was the focal point for critical deliberations between the judges on the show, which went out on air on Saturday the 24th of September 2011 on ITV1. The surface enabled the playback of 187 performances in crystal clear high definition to help the judges review and select the best contestants.

The actual selection process involved simply dragging each contestant’s video to the relevant category, narrowing down the number of contestents who progressed to the next stage of boot camp - very effective and intuitive, and very exciting.
